Ashton’s second warm up game saw the goals shared at Radcliffe’s Neuven Stadium, the hosts early goal being quickly cancelled out by a penalty.
Radcliffe took just 3 minutes to register as Carl Peers ran clear from the left wing before sliding the ball past Max Poney and after the returning Aaron Chalmers had headed Josh Stachini’s corner over the top Dominic Smalley won a penalty after being tripped by Torpey, Ryan Crowther converting easily. With half time approaching Crowther unfortunately suffered a serious looking injury to his right knee and had to be stretchered off with manager Jody Banim taking his place.

Chances were at a premium after the break but Carl Peers could have registered with a long free kick which came back off the Robins’ bar and Banim cut inside before missing the far post and then saw his inside pass lead to Stachini’s effort being blocked.
