The Robins will look to improve on Tuesday’s frustrating 1-1 draw with fellow Robins Ilkeston Town as Dan Turner’s first half header was cancelled out by Ashley Hunter’s finish with just a quarter of an hour to play.

A Word From The Gaffer

After Tuesday’s draw to Ilkeston Town, Steve Cunningham said: “It feels like a loss, we’ve lost two points.

“For 90% of the game, I really feel we’ve been on it, we’ve been brilliant.”

Looking ahead to tomorrow evening’s clash with Gainsborough, the gaffer said: “Every game is tough and Gainsborough is exactly that, it’s a quick turnaround because you’re playing Friday and then we’ve got Curzon on the Monday as well.”

Opposition Watch

Trinity have endured a steady start to this season’s proceedings, currently sat a position behind The Robins in seventh, following an opening six fixtures that have amounted to three wins, one draw and two defeats.

Tomorrow evening’s visitors are not shy in the final third, already converting 12 goals in their first six outings, with three going the way of Ashton Offler, who will certainly be a handful for The Robins defence on Friday night.

Last Time We Met

The latest encounter between the two sides took place back in February at Hurst Cross, where a Jonathon Margetts double, alongside a goal from Ashton Offler, secured a dominant 3-0 triumph for Trinity, as they completely outclassed The Robins on home soil.

Matchday

Tickets for the game are available via cash and card turnstiles or online, priced at £14 for Adults, £9 for concessions, £5 for 12-16-year-olds, and free for under 12's.

Please note, ID will need to be presented for any concessionary tickets if requested by a turnstile operator.

Turnstile 3 (on Surrey Street next to The Cross Bar) will be open from 6pm, for cash, card and pre-paid tickets.

The Cross Bar will be open from 6pm and access is from inside the ground only, there will be no access from the main entrance on Surrey Street.

We welcome both sets of fans into The Cross Bar for refreshments both prior to and after the match.

Alcohol not purchased from Ashton United is not permitted in the ground and stewards will be conducting bag searches on the turnstiles at their discretion.

At 6:30pm, the remaining turnstiles on Surrey Street and on Rowley Street will open as normal, as will the Robins Nest and the Robins Beer Hut inside Hurst Cross.

50/50 draw tickets will be on-sale both in The Cross Bar and on the ground, with match day programmes also available at the programme stand.

The AUFC Supporters club shop will open at 7pm, with memorabilia available to purchase from throughout the years.

The kit sale will once again be in action at the old program stand at the side of the main stand, everything will be cash only so be sure to come down and purchase some Robins merchandise!
